Government Funded 15 and 30 hours childcare for 3 and 4-year-olds
Government Funded 15 hours childcare
All 3 (three) and 4 (four) year-olds in England are entitled to 570 hours of Early Education Entitlement. This is often taken as 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year.
Children become eligible for this funding from 1 September, 1 January or 1 April (the start of term) following their 3rd (third) birthday.
Some 2-year-olds are also eligible for 15 hours Government Funded childcare. To see if you are eligible, please click here.
Government Funded 30 hours childcare
You may be able to get up to 30 hours childcare (1,140 hours per year, which you can choose how you take) for 3 (three) and 4 (four) year-olds.
If you’re eligible for the extra hours, you sign up online to get a code to give to your childcare provider to reserve your place. You’ll get the extra hours once the next term starts.
